Kunzite is a form of spodumene, hardness around 6.5-7.
It comes in pink to light violet hues. This one is a bit in the middle.
It's a "Stone of Emotion", which encourages walls to be built up around the heart.
Well, at least that's what crystal sellers say.
But the best part is it's a fairly hard stone, perfectly suitable for jewelry. And you can get big "rocks" for ring centerpieces, for the price of  the cut.
What you're paying for here is the shield cut.  I cut it myself, on a precision machine, using diamond powders.
I'm sorry for the crude pics.  I couldn't grab it with my plastic tweezers because of the shield cut.
It's .504" high, .510" wide, and .340" deep.  That's 12.8mm, 13.0mm, and 8.6mm for those who have given up the King's units of measure.
